    • Inspected vehicle on hoist and scanned for codes. Found P1217- engine over temp and P0171- engine lean condition. After inspection found vehicle low on coolant due to damaged radiator. Further inspection found a transmission mini dipstick in fan shroud that damaged the radiator when the radiator fan turned on causing the dipstick end to become a projectile, resulting in damage to radiator, causing leak. Transmission has what appears to be a newer dipstick installed. Customer states they had a oil change elsewhere recently. Possible dipstick was dropped and fell into fan shroud. Recommend radiator replacement, clearing codes, and rechecking vehicle operation.
