  • Inspected vehicle on hoist and scanned for codes. Found code # 16686- cylinder 2 misfire detected, and 16684- random cylinder misfire. After diag found cylinder #2 ignition coil faulty, along with worn plugs. After further inspection found other coil have resistance higher than spec. Recommend replacing all 4 ignition coils along with spark plugs, clearing codes, and rechecking vehicle operation.
  • SPARK PLUGS – Remove & Replace – 1.8L Eng
  • Changed Motor Oil & Replaced Filter, Added 5 QTS Synthetic Motor Oil, Lube Chassis, Check all Fluid Levels

Visually inspected cooling system, electrical circuits and connections for any obvious faults and found none. Observed scan tool data while vehicle warmed up to normal operating temp and found cooling system never reached normal operating temps in specified time period. Suggest thermostat replacement, clearing trouble code, and rechecking cooling system performance.
  • THERMOSTAT &/OR GASKET – Remove & Replace – 1.8L Eng
  • Inspect hoses and clamps. Pressure test cooling system. Flush engine, radiator, and heater core in both directions. Bring antifreeze to -35 degrees. PH balance coolant to between 9.8 to 10.5. Check thermostat and electric cooling fan operation. Chec
