    • Road tested vehicle and scanned for codes. Found multiple codes including P0116- engine coolant temp sensor performance, P0118- ECT sensor circuit high voltage, P0119- ECT sensor circuit intermittent, P058B- battery sensor module current monitoring performance, P058D- battery sensor module voltage monitoring performance, and P305F- dual battery control module performance. After performing system diag including pressure testing cooling system found a worn thermostat, and a faulty and leaking coolant temp sensor. Also coolant appeared original. Recommend replacing thermostat, coolant temp sensor, and flushing out coolant. Afterwards clearing codes and rechecking system operation. While inspecting battery and terminal connections for any obvious cause of the battery system codes found a loose wire/connection at positive terminal that may have caused the battery system codes. Secured connection and cleared off those codes as well. If battery codes return further diag will be necessary.

    • Test drove vehicle and confirmed a bearing type noise from rear differential. Inspected vehicle on hoist and removed rear diff cover and found minor metallic debris on magnet. After further inspection found carrier spider gear thrust washers damaged causing the metallic particles inside rear diff, including damaging the internal bearings. As this is a open style carrier we suggested replacing entire carrier with a new limited slip assembly. Customer declined and opted for just replacing the worn thrust washers, which come as a set with new spider gears and axle lock pin. After replacing all bearing along with internal gear kit and cleaning out housing test drove vehicle and found no further noise issue from rear diff.
