Inspected vehicle on hoist and scanned for codes. Found multiple codes related to fuel system including P0201- P0206 cylinder 1-6 injector circuits open, P025A- fuel pump module control circuit open, and U0109- lost communication with fuel pump module. Inspected related circuits and connections and found fuse #27 melted in battery junction box located under hood. Researched and found TSB from manufacturer related to this condition, which involves relocating fuse #27 to a different location inside existing fuse box, and rewiring the circuits to accept a larger maxi fuse. Performed relocation procedure, cleared trouble codes, and found vehicle now starts and operates properly.

Road tested vehicle and inspected on hoist. Scanned for codes and found P1450- unable to bleed up fuel tank vacuum. Inspected evap system circuits and connections and found no faults. Vacuum tested canister purge valve and found it defective, allowing continuous engine vacuum into evap system. Recommend replacing canister purge valve, clearing codes, and rechecking system operation.
COULD NOT VERIFY CUSTOMERS CONCERN. TEST DROVE VEHICLE MULTIPLE TIMES AND DID NOT FEEL OR HEAR ANY DIFFERENTIAL NOISE OR CLUNKING. ONLY HEARD NOISE AT LOW SPEEDS. COULD POSSIBLY BE A ABS ISSUE. SCANNED VEHICLE AS A COURTESY AND FOUND A CODE IN ABS MODULE. C1297- FRONT RIGHT SPEED SENSOR CIRCUIT. CUSTOMER IS AWARE OF THE NOISE. MORE DIAGNOSTIC TIME NEEDED TO FIND THE CAUSE.

Examine the suspension bushings for cracking, deterioration and wear. With the vehicle raised, inspect for binding / movement at the ball joints or struts while turning the steering wheel lock-to-lock. … Inspect the shocks for damage and fluid leaks. And all tie rods with digital print out.

Test drove vehicle multiple times and was unable to duplicate customer concern. Inspected vehicle on hoist and after speaking with customer removed LF axle and inspected 4wd actuator and found minor metallic particles between wheel bearing, actuator, and axle. Found evidence of grinding on actuator itself, and very minor wear on wheel bearing teeth. Cleaned off remaining metallic particles, and filed away minor wear in wheel bearing teeth. Recommend replacing 4wd actuator, and rechecking vehicle operation.
