Services Performed
- Road tested vehicle and inspected on hoist. Scanned for codes and found P0446- evap vent system performance. While inspecting vehicle found what appears to be a water line and excess rust which sits above the vehicle frame, indicating this vehicle was in a flood event. Using scan tool activated vent valve which we previously installed and found it working properly. During further inspection found the charcoal canister was unusually heavy, indicating water intrusion, likely from previous flood event. Inspected top of fuel tank/ fuel pump area and found heavy corrosion/ rust, indicating how high the flooding occurred. Recommend replacing the charcoal canister due to it being clogged with sediment and not allowing fuel tank to vent. If issue continues/ persists will recommend entire fuel tank to be dropped for further inspection as it is unknown what else could be clogged with flood sediment.
- EVAPORATION CONTROL CANISTER UNDER CARRAIGE – Remove & Replace
- TO TEST SYSTEM TO SEE IF FUEL WOULD GO INTO TANK. EVERYTHING IS WORKING NOW.
